![]() Sensible World of Soccer, commonly referred to as SWOS, was released in 1994. The graphic style of the game was used in other Sensible Software games, such as Mega Lo Mania, Cannon Fodder and Sensible Golf. ![]() The game topped charts such as Amiga Power's "All Time Top 100". Developed by Sensible Software and first released for Amiga and Atari ST computers in 1992 as well as for the PC, it featured a zoomed-out bird's-eye view (most games until then such as Kick Off and Matchday used a closer top-down or side view), editable national, club and custom teams and gameplay utilising a relatively simple and user-friendly control scheme. Sensible Soccer, often affectionately known as Sensi, is an association football video game series which was highly popular in the early 1990s and which still retains a cult following. Swos died in this status, because, perhaps corrupted by 3D engines and Fifa series. The next year Sensible Software produced SWOS 96-97, that was more a database update than a real new game, indeed we can say that some new features were added, like national teams career. In fact on Novembre 1995, Swos 95-96 was for PC too, with the same features of Amiga's one and also videos and musics. ![]() The game ruled the soccer videogames market for Amiga, but PC users had to play Sensible Soccer yet. The new game's features were the same not so good graphics, "bird fly" camera, the same brilliant and thrilling gameplay a bit upgraded and a huge database of national and club teams, covering about 12000 players! In 1995 Amiga's owners (only.) could play the first masterpiece: Sensible World of Soccer (SWOS). ![]()
